Cookie Policy

Last updated: November 29, 2025

TL;DR

  • We use only essential cookies to keep you logged in
  • No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, no third-party cookies
  • Our analytics are server-side (we use mbuzz on our own site)
  • You can disable cookies, but you won't be able to log in

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember information about your visit, like keeping you logged in or remembering your preferences.

Our approach to cookies

We believe in minimal data collection. Unlike most websites, we don't use cookies to track you across the internet or serve you targeted ads. We only use cookies that are strictly necessary to make mbuzz work.

Cookies we use

Here's a complete list of cookies we set:

Cookie Purpose Duration
_mbuzz_session Keeps you logged in to your account Session (deleted when you close browser) or 2 weeks if "remember me"
_csrf_token Security token to prevent cross-site request forgery attacks Session

That's it. Two cookies, both essential for security and functionality.

What we don't use

We do not use:

  • Analytics cookies — Our analytics are server-side. We use mbuzz to track our own website, which doesn't require cookies
  • Advertising cookies — We don't run ads or participate in ad networks
  • Third-party cookies — We don't embed trackers from Google, Facebook, or any other third party
  • Preference cookies — We don't currently store preferences in cookies

Third-party services

Some pages may load content from third-party services:

  • Stripe — For payment processing on the billing page. Stripe may set its own cookies for fraud prevention. See Stripe's privacy policy

We don't control cookies set by third parties. Their use is governed by their own privacy policies.

Managing cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you:

  • See what cookies are set
  • Delete individual cookies or all cookies
  • Block cookies from specific sites
  • Block all cookies

Here's how to manage cookies in common browsers:

Note: If you block our essential cookies, you won't be able to log in to mbuzz. The public pages (like this one) will still work.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Since we don't track you in the first place, there's nothing for us to disable. We respect your privacy by default.

Changes to this policy

If we start using additional cookies, we'll update this page and notify you. Any significant changes will be communicated via email to account holders.
